1. Department of Chemistry conducted two short term courses during the academic session. ‘Green Chemistry Towards a Sustainable Future’ coordinated by Dr. Anju Srivastava and Dr. Reena Jain aimed to prepare the future scientists for adopting methods and designs in science and technology friendly to health and environment. The course received a good response with 30 science under graduate and post graduate students in its first batch belonging to various colleges of Delhi University.
2. “Electronics and Computers for Science Students” conducted by Dr CK Seth trained students for fabricating PC interface Model of Laboratory instruments after understanding the basics of Electronics and Computer.

The short term course on Media Studies ran successfully for the second year. This year the course offered teaching modules on Print and Television Journalism, Photography, Film Appreciation, Anchoring and an overview on the issues underlying the diverse forms of media.

Acting Skills coordinated by Mrs. Suchitra Gupta saw faculty from the National School of Drama familiarizing the students with the nuances of acting. The course includes training in theory and practice of acting and has a special segment to teach the importance of diction. Since its introduction in 2006 more than 30students have been trained.
Foreign Language Courses
The college has introduced Short-Term Certificate courses in various languages .These include French, German, Russian and Spanish. On the completion of the course, the examination is conducted by the University Of Delhi and on the basis of that, the certificate is issued to the successful candidates.
Value-Added Courses
Open to students of Hindu College on a first preference basis, as well as to students from other institutions. Classes for the above will commence in the afternoon, after the regular classes have dispressed.
(a) Short Term Course on Acting Skills
Duration : 3 Months
Fee : Rs. 3000/-
This course would impart instuction on acting theory and practice, role analysis and character development, improvisation and interaction and voice exercise.
(b) Short-Term Course on Electronics and Computers for Chemists
Duration : 15 weeks
Fee : Rs. 2000/-
Contents: Power supply, Operational Amplifier Based Instrument, Micro-Controller Based Measuring Device, PC interface Instrument.
(c) Short-Term Course on Mass Media ( with specific emphasis on Film Studies, Journalism and Advertising)
Duration : 3 months
Fee : Rs. 10,000/-
The course will provide conceptual insights into theories of media, along with offering knowledge of the technical language that any understanding of Mass Media involve.
(d) Short-Term Course on Green Chemistry
Duration : 3 months
Fee : Rs. 3,500/-
The goal for this course is to introduce the field of Green Chemistry and the tools required to design, synthesize and make materials in an environmental benign way.
