Activities

The Old Students’ Association has been serving the alumni admirably bringing them together and bridging the gap of generations. In the last few years, it has expanded its activities manifold attracting and involving a large number of old students. The Association organized its alumni get-together and lunch on 15 th February, 2004 in the college. The major attraction of this year’s function was a Cricket Match, where some eminent Test Cricketers who are either present or old students of the college participated. The scene at the cricket ground was exciting and enjoyable in which there was a lot of fun and laughter. It was a highly successful alumni reunion function this year. Besides, the Old Student’s Association (OSA) has been recognizing the contributions of its distinguished alumni and organizing functions on a regular basis to honour those who attained distinctions in their respective vocations. This year the third Distinguished Alumni Award Ceremony was held on 7 th November, 2003 at Hotel The Grand Intercontinental, New Delhi to honour Shri Bhiku Ram Jain, Hon’ble Justice B.P. Singh, Shri S. Rajgopal, IAS(Retd.), Shri V.P. Punj, Shri Manjit Dua, Shri L.C.Jain, Ms. Soni Sangwan and Shri Ajay Bijli. Hon’ble Justice Y.K.Sabharwal (Judge Supreme Court of India) an aluminous and Hon’ble Shri Vinod Khanna (Union Minister of State for External Affairs) were the distinguished guests. The felicitation ceremony was well attended. The Association also published its First Alumni Newsletter in Nov. 2003 which was released on this occasion by Hon’ble Justice Y.K. Sabharwal and Hon’ble Minister Shri Vinod Khanna
