Through its 50 years, Old Students’ Association (OSA) has had a glorious journey in which it has constantly interacted with the College and helped it whenever an occasion has arisen. Members of the Old Students’ Association have instituted scholarships and prizes, memorial lectures and debates all of which have contributed towards the vibrant environment in the college. When the occasion came, it was the Old Students’ Association that built the College Canteen and renovated the Sports Complex. At the time of the Centenary of the College the alumni intended the celebrations in large numbers many of them coming even from outside Delhi. They participated with unbounded enthusiasm in the celebration.

The Old Students’ Association since the Centenary Celebrations in 1999-2000 has been annually recognizing its distinguished alumni in a glittering celebration that grows from strength to strength. Fresh vibrancy was imbued with the Hinduites Golf Tournaments which has inspired many members to actively participate in various events. We have also institutionalized Hindu-St. Stephens Alumni cricket and golf tournaments and these events would now be an annual feature. The events held since the second half of 2008 till the recent 28th February 2010 OSA Golf Tournament were a great success.

The alumni and the college have an inalienable bond, as when the alumni do well, the success of the college is reflected in it. Also when the college does well the alumni feel proud of it and feel enthused to do what they can for the college. Hence, the link between the alumni and the College is a valuable one.

The OSA owes a debt of gratitude to the alumni members K.C.Mehra, Ravi Burman, Vikram Bahri, Deepak Verma, Arun Seth, W.D.(Bobby) Mathur, Ajay Narain and Dr. Kavita Sharma for lending full support in all the activities of OSA. It would not be an exaggeration to say that OSA could not have undertaken its activities if it was not for their initiative, support, commitment and involvement. We convey our best wishes to Dr. Vinay Kumar Srivatsava who has taken over as the Principal. We are sure we will continue to get full support, cooperation and guidance from Dr. Srivatsava.

We have also received full support from the Governing Body of the College. The college staff has been very cooperative and I make a special mention of Mr.T.C.Arora, Administrative Officer.

I look forward to your continued help, cooperation and active participation in all our activities.

Lalit Bhasin,
President, OSA Hindu College
