The 112th Founder’s Day of the College was celebrated on 15th February, 2011 with Former President of India, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam as the Chief guest. In his address to an overpacked auditorium, Dr Kalam praised the college for its achievements in the past and its unique system of students’parliament . He talked of the aspiration and ambitions of today’s youth and motivated them to fight the hardest battle to achieve them. He suggested a four- dimensional approach in order to achieve a unique self for each. He shared some of his visualizations for a World-2030. In order to realize these, he discussed three aspects – International social responsibility, partnership of nations to maximize business and minimize cost and time, a sustainable development system for sustaining rural and sub-urban prosperity of the world. Motivating the students, he made them take a 10 point oath of integrity, hard work and committment. Finally, he invited questions from students and enthralled them with interesting answers.

The highlights of the function were as follows: -

1. The Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Vinay Kumar Srivastava, presented the highlights of the annual activities of the College- academic activities of students and teachers and extracurricular activities of students.

2. More than a hundred students were awarded Merit and special Prizes for standing first in their classes in the College and University

3. In the field of Sports and Games, the College was represented in Cricket, Basketball, squash and Aquatics. The College won the second position in basketball in All India University Championship.

4. A Cultural Programme was also held in which students of the Hindi Dramatics Society of the College- Abhirang, presented a play.
