Essential Qualifications for the post of Assistant Professor:

1. Good academic record with at least 55% (50% for candidates belonging to SC / ST or those who passed their Master’s degree prior to 19.09.1991 and hold a Ph. D degree) or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the master’s degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.

2. Candidates should have qualified the National eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professors/Lectures conducted by the UGC / CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC.

3. A relaxation of the minimum marks at the post-graduate level from 55% to 50% maybe provided to the candidates who have cleared the JRF examination conducted by the UGC/CSIR only, prior to 1989, when the minimum marks required to appear for JRF examination were 50%.

NOTE: - The eligibility criteria and qualification for these posts will be as per UGC/University of Delhi norms. Candidates should clearly specify their category in the form (UR/SC/ST/OBC/PH).

Administrative Officer
Essential Qualification:

  1. Good academic record plus Masters Degree with at least 55% of marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale (5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST category).
Desirable:
  1. At least three years experience in supervisory or equivalent cadre in a government department/ University/Educational or Research Institution/ Teaching and /or Research experience along with proven administrative capabilities.
  2. L.L.B or MBA or CA/ICWA or MCA or M. Phil./Ph.D. qualification.
NOTE:
  1. The incumbent should possess good communication and analytical skills and aptitude for drafting/noting in English. Should be able to coordinate/liaise with other divisions/departments and participate in discussion with senior functionaries and Academicians.
  2. He/She is expected to handle independently one or more functions related to Educational Administration/ Examinations/ General Administration/Purchase/ Establishment/Accounts & Finance/Project management/ HR/Legal.
  3. All the candidates for direct recruitment will be required to appear in written test to adjudge there ability of expression and knowledge of administrative aspects relating to educational administration, the selection being basis on performance of the candidates in written test and interview.
Junior Assistant Cum Typist (JACT):
A pass in Senior Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Board/University/Institution, with minimum 40 w.p.m. in English typewriting.
Desirable: Graduate with Computer knowledge in M. S. Office.
Note: 1) Candidates will be required to appear and qualify in the Preliminary written objective test comprising of General Intelligence, General Awareness, General English & Numerical ability of 50 marks each. The candidates who are qualified in the Preliminary Written Test will be required to appear in the Aptitude Test (typing & computer knowledge test) and Written Essay Test in English.
2) The date for the conduct of Preliminary Written Test, Aptitude Test (typing & computer knowledge test) and Written Essay Test in English will be notified later.

Library Attendant
Essential: Passed 10th or equivalent examination from any State Education Board or Govt. recognized Institution.
Desirable: 1. Certificate in Library Science/Library & Information Sciences. 2. Computer as a subject at Secondary level or Basic Course in computers from any Institution.

Laboratory Attendant (Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology):
Essential: Should have passed the Matriculation or equivalent examination with Science subjects.
Desirable: Should have worked in a Laboratory.

System and Network Administration:
Essential Qualification and Experience:-

MCA/B.E./B.tech/M.Sc. (informatics) or equivalent in Computer in Science or related discipline. At least one year of System and Network Administration experience in an Organization. Security Administration, Web Server and Database Administration. Desirable Qualification:- Microsoft MCSA, CISCO, CISSP and/or any other equivalent certifications.

General Notes:-
  1. NET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Lecturer / Assistant Professor, provided however, that candidates who are or have been awarded Ph. D degree in compliance of the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and procedure for awards of M. Phil / Ph. D degree), Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET.
  2. Any relaxation in the prescribed qualification can only be made by the UGC in a particular subject in which NET is not being conducted or enough number of candidates are not available with NET qualification.
  3. A relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) at Master’s level to the persons with disability (PWD) shall be granted for the post of Lecturer / Assistant Professor in terms of Executive Council Resolution No. 37(2) dated 1.5.2003.
  4. The qualifications and other service conditions shall be such as prescribed by the University of Delhi / UGC from time to time.
  5. The candidate applying under PWD category may specifically mention in their application main category to which they belong i.e. UR/SC/ST/OBC for the purpose of computing the reservation.
  6. The candidates applying under PWD category are required to submit the Disability Certificate in the format prescribed by Government of India , Department of Personnel and Training vide OM No. 36035/3/2004-Estt(Res) dated 29.12.2005. The format is available at website www.persmin.nic.in
  7. The candidates already in service must apply through proper channel.
  8. The College reserved the right not to fill up any or all the post(s) advertised.

  10. All the permanent posts are subject to the approval of U.G.C/Delhi University

  13. Age relaxation is available to reserved category persons as per Govt. of India/Delhi University Rules.
  14. No T.A. or D.A. will be paid for appearing in the written test and interview.
  15. Application other than in prescribed form, incomplete application, unsigned application, application without required documents/testimonials or application reaching after the closing date by post/courier will be rejected without further reference.
