The hostel has always been an integral part of College.It organized talks this Year by Vibha Maurya,Head of the Depatment,     
German Roman Studies and Rajni Paliwal,Sociologist from Delhi School of Economics. It also arranged the presentation of a street play "VO BOOL OUTHI" performed by jan Natay Manch, an eminent theatre group.

      The Hostel of Hindu College is situated within the college campus, next to the sports complex. It is a spacious structure colonial in design with 121 rooms to accommodate about 200 boys. The Hostel complex encloses eight large lawns with rose beds and pruned hedges. It has a Common Room for recreation other than newspapers and magazines. It provides for table tennis, chess and Carom also there is a separate TV-Room as well.

      Three meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are cooked and served by resident hostel employees in the hostel mess, which is a composite structure with kitchens, pantries and the Dining Hall. The Mess is run by the boys on cooperative basis, supervising its menu purchases and accounts. There are several employees to look after the daily chores in the hostel. They include an office clerk, a mess manager, nine mess/room bearers, three cooks, two watchmen, two janitors, a gardener and few others for kitchen and pantry work. The Hostel Office and the Warden's Residence are located in the southern corner of the hostel building.

     The W.U.S. Health Centre of the University of Delhi situated nearby, provides 24 hours health care facilities for all resident students against a nominal fee of Rs. 5 per month (in addition there are registered Washer man, Dry Cleaner, and Newspaper Vendor, to provide services lo the residents. ADMISSIONS All prospective candidates are required to procure the Hostel Handbook of information for current admission/re-admission and for each subsequent year of stay thereafter and fill in and submit the Application Form available alongwith as per the admission schedules. All admissions to the Hostel are made strictly on the basis of merit only.

      Those students whose immediate family members do not reside within 30 kms (as the crow flies) of the College, are considered for admission. At the time of admission, chosen candidates must be accompanied by their Parents/Local Guardians for an interview with the Warden/ Hostel Committee.

     A Local Guardian should be someone who holds a responsible position in an organisation and/or possesses an authentic authorisation from a Parent, in no case shall he/she be a student. Applicants selected shall be required to submit Hostel Fees by the stipulated date and time. If the fees are not so paid the offer of admission shall stand automatically cancelled.

       At the time of Hostel Admission every candidate has to submit a Residence Certificate from an appropriate Magistrate/Resident Commissioner as a proof of permanent residential address. In case a student changes his course of study at any point of time after being admitted, his admission to Hostel shall stand cancelled. He has to compete afresh with others in the new subject category to reenter the Hostel, provided seats are available.

      In case a resident fails in his University Examination and/or becomes an ex student of the College, he will lose his Hostel allotment. Subsequently, upon passing, he will not get back his Hostel seat automatically. Instead, he has to compete afresh for admission through the new merit list for his batch. Only whose re evaluation results certify promotion will be given automatic re admission. After the successful completion of each academic year by the University of Delhi criteria, residents are re-admitted provided their conduct is found satisfactory.

       Suspension/Expulsion orders can be implemented with regard to any resident at any point of time on the following grounds :

   (A)  Non attendance of classes/tutorials/practicals as per College norms.

   (B)  Willful violation of College/Hostel/University Rules and regulations.

   (C) Non payment of dues.
